ST JEANNE JUGAN
FOUNDRESS OF LITTLE SISTERS OF THE POOR
EMPLOYMENT
It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child. It also takes a village, or rather a team of dedicated staff members, to provide the elderly with the care they deserve and to keep a home for the aged running smoothly. As Little Sisters, we rely on the daily help of our employees to continue the mission of Saint Jeanne Jugan today. They are an important extension of our hands in ministering to the elderly.
The qualities we look for in every employee include compassion, respect, trustworthiness, enthusiasm, a positive team spirit and an unassuming professionalism.
Our staff members truly become part of our family. Our home becomes their home away from home. If you are interested in working in Aged Care and feel called to a high level of commitment, we invite you to visit us and to explore the possibility of finding a new home with the Little Sisters.

"To all of you who care for the elderly I wish to say a final word of recommendation and encouragement. Yours is not a service that is limited to physical and material things. You have the precious task of helping the older members of the community to turn their later years into a time of fulfilment and completion. You must always approach your task with love and respect, which you must renew daily in the certainty that Christ repeats to you those words in the Gospel: you did it to me (Mt 25:40). Your work is an enterprise of human solidarity and evangelical love. Your loving care is a precious help to the old. Your clear witness is a help and encouragement to us all."
